Sony advances the state of the art for CD burning with its 48X/12X/48X external desktop CD-RW drive for USB 2.0 equipped PCs or Macintosh® computers. USB 2.0 offers high-speed transfer rates and backward compatibility with older USB 1.1 devices. The CRX2100U supports super-fast 40X/12X/48X max. performance and can create a full 700MB CD-R disc in less than 3 minutes. When connected to a USB 1.1 system, it will perform at 4X/4X/6X max. (a limitation of that version of USB). Also included is Sony's new Power-Burn conformed* buffer underrun technology, taking the worry out of CD burning by eliminating buffer-underrun.

The CRX2100U comes with B's Gold CD mastering software for Microsoft® Windows® operating systems and Macintosh® computers, and B's Clip drive letter recording software for Windows® operating system and works with Windows® 98SE, Windows® Millennium Edition, Windows® 2000 applications, and is Windows® XP operating system ready. Also works with Macintosh® systems running Mac® OS 9.0.4, 9.1, or 9.2.1 operating systems. Please record responsibly.
