The Gundam anime series dates back to the 1970s and is one of the first shows to use the concept of giant fighting mecha robots piloted by humans. GUNDAM SEED DESTINY, which originally aired in 2004 and 2005, takes place several years events of GUNDAM SEED, and is set in the parallel dimension cosmic era of the Gundam fictional universe.
